Narratives & Tales

Teaching a class of fifty people is a mix of fun and hard work. Everyone gets to create their own bouquet, adding their own special touches and having a good time. It’s a great way to feel a sense of accomplishment and learn something new.

The Glass Cloche

The glass bell jar or cloche is something I have always been fascinated with and consider one of my many passion projects.

Each one is unique with a touch of whimsy and charm. Sizes and pricing upon request.

Wreaths

A rainy day in my opinion, is the best time to start projects that bring joy. For me this is designing and creating wreaths.I enjoy working with fresh greens, seasonal flora and fauna…

However on this particular rainy day I opted for a 10” grapevine wreath to start, mixing in dried and artificial flowers. Including velvet ribbon.

Cleaning Tulips…

The correct way to clean tulips. Tulips are one of my all time favorite flowers. They are the symbol of spring. I like to think they bring joy to their surroundings. They tend to grow the way they want and enjoy facing the light, which makes it interesting to watch but also makes them tricky to work with. That’s why it’s so important to clean them correctly. First take the bottom leaves off and clean any dirt and sand that might be on the stems and leaves. Cutting each stem and placing in cool water, wrapping the bunches in paper for a few hours will help them stand up straighter and be easier to work with. There are so many different varieties to choose from so pick your favorite and have fun.
